Jason Momoa had a wild yet short-term role on HBO’s famous show Game of Thrones. Fans instantly fell in love with his character Khal Drogo though he was only in the first season. It made it all the more disappointing when he died so early into the show’s run.
It is clear that fans weren’t the only ones who were upset. Momoa recently interviewed by NME where he was promoted his new Apple TV+ series, See. During the conversation, he took a minute to reflect on the fortunes of some of the characters he has played. “I’ve always wanted to do this. I’ve always felt like I’ve been cheated in a lot of the things I’ve done,” the actor explained.
“You try to show a little bit of color in there, you know, with Conan but no one wants to see Conan crying, and with Drogo, he died before any of that stuff could happen. In Frontier all his family were killed and it was about the revenge of it all. In this, it’s just beautiful because you see the whole arc of it all.”
The 40-year-old star also poured over the detail that he gets to have an extended plot with his new character in See. It is correct that Momoa has been stereotype as a savage and hard character throughout his years of acting. But he can’t be too disappoint about Khal Drogo because it was in George R.R. Martin’s books, after all. And let’s face it; no one is secure in Martin’s imaginary earth.
