Game Of Thrones stars made a lot of money if they were lucky enough to survive till the last season and the show has made Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner among the richest celebrities in the UK under 30.
While the Game of Thrones cast was hardly earning anything in the early days of the fantasy classic compared to the later seasons, those who did manage to survive till the end have struck gold.
So much so that Richard Madden who played Robb Stark, who eventually went on to become one of the most talked about actors in the globe and will be raking in millions when he enters the Marvel universe next year, insisted he got paid ‘f**k all’ before the Red Wedding.
The Hollywood Reporter in the past claimed the Game of Thrones cast was divided into tiers, which decided their pay per episode.
While the likes of Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke rode high at the top on an estimated $500,000 (£388,000) per episode, Maisie and Sophie were still earning in pennies in comparison in ‘tier B’ on $150,000 (£120,000) per installment each – and that’s before seasons seven and eight, as per Celebrity Net Worth.
Maisie has now launched her own app Daisie in addition to starting her own production company, and has appeared in Doctor Who and 2019 X-Men film, The New Mutants – putting her entire net worth at £4.5 million.
As for Sophie, she’s thought to be worth £8.5 million after sharing the equal pay as her on-screen little sister and real-life best friend. However, she also played the lead in X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. She’s also the face of Wella haircare.
