Avengers star Elizabeth Olsen has revealed that she could have played the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game Of Thrones – if not for her ‘horrible’ audition!
You are reading it correctly!! Turns out that the 30-year-old wanted to play the role of Mother Of Dragons. However, things didn’t happen as planned.
When talking on Live With Kelly And Ryan, shared her interesting audition story.
On being asked if any audition had gone wrong for her, the star chuckled: ‘I was like , “I actually really love auditioning, so I can’t really think of anything”, and [then] I was like, “Oh that’s right, I auditioned for Game of Thrones.”‘
Elizabeth further shared: ‘It was for Khaleesi – she was just burned alive and then I start making this huge speech.
‘I was in the smallest room with the casting director, they didn’t even have a reader, and that was the furthest I ever got. It was that bad. It was horrible.
‘I was like, “This is uncomfortable for me, I’m sure it’s awkward for her (casting director), no one’s going to enjoy this experience.”‘
The star joked that she should’ve made sure that the audition was immediately stopped and that she should’ve been called back for a different role.
