Andhika Muksin is a Jakarta-based artist who combines his two passions – illustration and Disney – into one. The artist spoke with Insider that he is been in love with Disney’s work since he got an “Alice in Wonderland” VHS tape for his seventh birthday. After he graduated from school Muksin spent a while creating digital art, experimenting with all the things from clays and steels to jewellery and acrylic paints.
For Muksin, these collages are additionally a nostalgic return to his youth.
“Recreating these beloved characters in more contemporary situations has become a way [for] my childhood icons to grow up with me,” he shared.
“I make these collages just for fun,” he mentioned. “I’m happy to make people happy you know, that’s the best feeling ever.”
