The Haka is a traditional Māori dance form originally from New Zealand and though commonly associated with the traditional battle rituals of male warriors, Haka has long been performed by both men and women. Traditionally, Haka was used only in Māori cultural context, but today haka is  used in a wide range of public occasions and the use of haka in popular culture is a growing phenomenon.

For more than 100 years the All Blacks have had a tradition of performing a haka before their games. This has become one of the most widely known use of the Haka. And in recent times we have seen Hollywood celebs like Jason Momoa popularizing it by performing it during events.
