Game of Thrones aims to break its own record at the Emmy Awards

Game of Thrones is all set to break one more Emmy record tonight, having receive a record 32 nominations, the most number of honors for any one season of a TV show ever.

Having won 10 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys that happened last week, Game of Thrones needs only two more to tie the record for the most Emmys won by a single season of any show. It needs just three to break that record.

Who do you think holds the current record? Believe it or not, it’s Game of Thrones, which won 12 honors for its fifth season in 2015.

Having received 14 nominations all over each of the seven categories, whose winners will be announced later this evening. Game of Thrones is the only show that has been nominated in in each and every category, and there’s an outside chance that it wins all the awards.
