The Witcher Season 2 has had a difficult time because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The filming for season 2 started way back in February 2020 and it was delayed numerous times and they had to face multiple issues and the filming even had to be temporarily put on hold due to the pandemic.
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who is the creator of the series said that The Witcher Season 2 was filmed in 15 distinct places with 89 cast members and more than 1,200 crew members which needs massive planning.
After the filming was wrapped up, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said in a video, “That is a wrap on season two of The Witcher. It is hard to believe it’s been over a year since we kicked off this season in typical Witcher fashion in a freezing cold forest in the middle of the night.”
“Since then, we’ve shot for 158 days with at least one unit, sometimes two, sometimes three, all while decked out in face shields, face masks, and goggles and slathered in hand sanitizer. We cannot wait to show you what Geralt, and Ciri, and Yennefer, and Jaskier, and all of your favorites have been up to since we left them at the Battle of Sodden Hill,” she added.
Netflix recently shared The Witcher season 2 trailer and as expected, it was really exciting.
