Tom Hanks stunned the world when he announced that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, had tested positive for coronavirus and since then the list of celebrities with COVID-19 continues to grow, with big names like Kevin Durant and Idris Elba all testing positive in recent days.
From a Bond girl to a Game of Thrones wildling, here are all the most recognizable figures who have tested positive for coronavirus.
1. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Hanks and Wilson, both 63, surprised the world with their coronavirus diagnoses, which came early on in the public awareness of the seriousness of the pandemic. The couple are in Australia, where Hanks was supposed to start work on a film about Elvis. They have been released from the hospital.
“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches,” shared Hanks. “Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”
“We’ll keep the world posted and updated.”
